Law Journals -- Full Text

  • Lexis Advance & WestlawBoth databases include full-text articles but do not include all American law reviews.  Coverage is selective and is limited to articles no older than 1980.  Many titles, particularly topical reviews, include only articles published within the last few years.  For older issues, see HeinOnline. (Passwords required.)

  • HeinOnline.  Best source for pre-1980 articles not available on Lexis or Westlaw.  Journal coverage starts with volume one.  PDF format useful for citation purposes.  (Accessible anywhere on campus and remotely via VPN.)

Working Papers

Find cutting-edge scholarship, such as working papers, lectures, and other law faculty presentations, which are not yet (or may never be) available in traditional print journals.

SSRN- Legal Scholarship Network .  Very current pre-publication citations, as well as archived working papers. Keyword search abstracts or click on Subject Matter E-Journals.
