At SMU, we use the Library of Congress (LC) classification system. For music materials, we use:
M - Music scores
ML - Music literature
MT - Music theory and teaching
For CDs, Videos, and other media materials, we use our own unique numbers. For example, a call number like CD 03311 would be a compact disc. "Record JR 3399" would be a vinyl LP record. Media materials are available at the Hamon services desk.
