Terminology

Committee: The name 'Committee' is reserved for the steering committees which report up to the Associate Deans group. Search Committees are the only exception since the language is used by HR.

Team: Teams are permanent standing groups that are charged with managing their assigned area of the libraries. Teams report up to another team or directly to a steering committee.

Working Group: Working groups are temporary groups charged with completing a specific task. Membership is based on job duties. 

Department: Group of people defined by organizational hierarchy. A department reports to the same supervisor.
