Dissertations: Overview

Finding Dissertations and Theses

A dissertation is a book-length summary of original research conducted in completion of a doctoral degree. A thesis is similar but for a Master's degree.

Finding a dissertation may be useful for:

  • Establishing the originality of your own research proposal.
  • Finding relevant resources in the bibliography.
  • Finding very recent research that has not yet been published otherwise.
