Access Capital IQ

• Access public & private international companies transactions, M&A & fixed income data

First Time Users

Capital IQ is restricted to SMU students, faculty, and staff and requires an account.

• Apply for an account and a Business Librarian will review your request.
• Accounts expire upon graduation. 
• Capital IQ cannot be used for internships or employment.

Excel Add-in

Capital IQ users with PCs can download and install the Excel plug-in.

• Log into Capital IQ.
• Select Downloads under My Profile from the left menu.
• Click on the Download Office Plug-in (New Installer) link and follow the prompts. 

Mac users: Excel plug-in not compatible with Macs.
