Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

TCEQ is responsible for monitoring and protecting natural resources for the state of Texas.   The web site it divided into sections on air, land, and water for the public, businesses, and government agencies for easy navigation.   Publications are keyword searchable.

The Center for Disease Control

This is a good spot to get an overview of issues relating to environmental health.

U.S. Geological Survey

The U.S. G. S. provides current information on all kinds of events affecting the earth and its atmosphere.
