  • Archaeology- Explores past human societies to understand our history and its relevance today.
  • Cultural Anthropology- The broadest of the subfields. Studies human societies and cultures and their development across time and space. 
  • Biological Anthropology- Investigates our biological origins, evolutionary development, genetic diversity, and how we are both similar and unique.
  • Linguistic Anthropology- Seeks to explain the nature of language, its evolution, and its use by humans.
